Atomic Fitness- Creating life transformations through functional fitness & balanced nutrition.

Life can be overwhelming and crazy.  We must maintain balance in all aspectsof life and remember to breathe.

Keeping life in perspective is important, as is having stress outlets.

Exercise and nutrition are key elements in maintaining your overall health.

Overall health is multifaceted:

-Nutrition: Taking the power of your nutrition and food intake into your hands, understanding the advantages of creating your own food pyramid. Education, habits, choices accountability, meal plans.  80% of your lifestyle success comes from the fuel you fill your body up with.  Eaing consistently throughout the day good, healthy foods that satisfy & give you energy to get through the day are the keys to your success. Plan your meals ahead for greatest success.  Begin food logging--this creates accountability & knowledge! Through education we become empowered.

-Strength Training: our bodies need to be strong in order to function properly everyday. In order to live the most rewarding, pain-free, healthiest lives possible, our bodies simply need to perform functional exercises which afford us the healthiest lifestyle. Strength training plans specifically designed for your lifestyle needs. I build a foundation from the ground up. Any trainer can make you sweat, but does that mean your building a truly healthy strong body?

-Posture/Core: The spine is strong and stable when we practice healthy posture. However, when we stoop or slouch, muscles, ligaments, lungs, vital organs, struggle to keep us balanced. Poor posture leads to fatigue, arthritis, back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain and injury, and headaches. Teaching your body good posture is more than just looking pretty, it truly equals good health. Without good posture, you cannot correctly strengthen your whole body, specifically your core.

-Water Intake & Supplementation: keeping your body properly hydrated is simply another facet of overall health. We must drink water. Supplementing your diet with high-quality, absorbable vitamins and minerals is key in a world where simply diet won’t suffice.

-Sleep/Rest: Our daily lives are overwrought with stresses. A good night’s sleep is of utmost importance for stress relief and recovery.

Meet Atomic Gym's Head Trainer - Lindsay

Breaking the mold. Empowerment through education and good habits.

Atomic Fitness Gym is a passion and a calling, not simply a career.
Coaching, teaching, learning-I love changing lives and, in turn, changing my life. The reward of “personal training” and “lifestyle coaching” is the transformation I see in my clients. To witness the sacrifice, dedication, hard work, and ultimate transformation inspires me to continue on this journey.

My goal as a trainer is to coach and guide each client as an individual to a healthier overall lifestyle filled with good nutrition and exercise choices and habits.
Classically trained in the basics of personal fitness training, my varied experience is what truly sets me apart as an elite lifestyle coach. I have made a conscious decision to "break the mold" when it came to the stereotypes of women and fitness. Interest and participation in resistance and strength training at an early age led to many alternative fitness experiences. I played Women's Semi-professional full contact football, training with college football players and coaches, training with professional strongmen, training for and participating in competitive powerlifting built a strong foundation physically and mentally to use these experiences to coach and train clients alternatively, functionally, safely and correctly. And also break the mold in stereotypes about training. I mentored for two years with a personal trainer with 25 years of experience with clients of all levels and lifestyles-this knowledge was worth more than any certification.

Fitness is multifaceted--strength, balance, stability, endurance, posture, core awareness, functional body awareness, flexibility, rest, nutrition, supplementation, water intake...all of these are simply parts of the whole. True health and wellness are achieved when these facets come together to make the whole being.
My fitness experience: swimming, track, plyometric training, 8 week running/sprinting course at Washington Institute of Sports Medicine, football, skiing, snowboarding, softball, kettle bells, ropes, strongman training, competitive powerlifting, endurance training, circuit training, Tr-X, and Pilates.

My client base is male & female--ranging from teenage athletes looking to improve their body weight & athletic performance, endurance athletes, people that had literally never exercised in their entire life, police officers & firefighters looking to improve physical performance, clients with shoulder, back, knee injuries, to clients in their 60’s simply wanting to stay as healthy as possible.

Whatever your fitness level, I will create the most effective, health-conscious plan that works specifically with your lifestyle.
